We frequently get asked what our name means and how did it come about. The full history behind the name is a long one but briefly there's an old French story about a Giraffe and a helicopter which one of my friends told me. The tale is called Flaf Flaf the giraffe with the word flaf representing the sound blades of a helicopter make (won't go into any more detail but you can be safe in the knowledge that the giraffe isn't hurt) We took the Flaf Flaf and added Cat for the region of Catalonia where our head office is located and ended up with Flaf Flaf Cat because we sell, amongst many other things, wind turbines with blades that make the same noise. A little crazy but memorable!
